The demand for Electrical power is increasing rapidly and there by the electrical Engineers are in great demand to meet the requirements. Electrical Engineers are mainly employed in industries manufacturing electrical components, accessories, Research and Development departments that work on energy saving devices and systems.

• The main objective of the Department is to acquaint the students with all aspects of today’s modern electrical and electronics engineering world and train them to be competent in analysis & design. The department has well equipped instructional areas and workshops. The computing infrastructure is highly developed, with networked PCs and Engineering workstations offering a variety of software packages and development including  micro control system & power electronic Facilities.

The department is focusing on electrical machines, classical control systems and power systems. The department is working in the direction of becoming a renowned academic center of learning in the discipline of electrical and electronics engineering to establish research and development center of repute so as to encourage active participation with industry by staff and students to take on practical problems of industry and to provide feasible solutions, to bring out skilled and disciplined graduates by imparting quality education in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
