Admissions to the B.E. program is made once a year in month of July-August based on the rank of the candidate in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and/or Pre Engineering Test (PET) conducted on an All India level by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and MP Government respectively. The respective body announces the details of dates of exams and counseling:

• Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, M.P.
• Professional Examination Board (Vyapam), Bhopal, M.P.

Admission for M.P. domicile candidates will be done on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination for Engineering (PET) conducted by the Professional Examination Board of M.P. and subsequent counseling conducted by RGPV Bhopal.

The admission for the quota of all-India seats is done on the basis of merit in the list declared by the AIEEE in the entrance examination held by CBSE; and subsequent counseling conducted by RGPV Bhopal.

The admission to the First Semester B.E. Courses will be open to the Indian Nationals.

Admission to the students is given in 1st semester by the Rajiv Gandhi Technological University through counseling based on their merit in the PET (Pre Engineering Test) for MP Domicile students and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for all India seats.

MP Domicile is eligible for MP quota seats as well as All India Seats

All India students’ i. e. students from other states are Eligible only in All India quota.

COUNSELING

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal (M.P. Government Body), carries out counseling for admission into Technical Colleges of M.P. A press note, with all the details of counseling program and ranking for purpose of admission is issued by DTE, Bhopal in all leading newspapers of the State. Admission to the Institute is carried out as per the rules laid down by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Professional Examination Board prepares ranking list based on the PET, AIEEE, PRE-MCA, ALL INDIA MCA conducted by it except for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates.

Admission rules are subject to change by the Authorities.

The fees for B.E. Programs run by the Institute will be charged as per the amount approved and notified by the Government of Madhya Pradesh

Admissions are made through counseling at Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior and Rewa organized by Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwa Vidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal.

CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION

All students admitted provisionally or otherwise to any program are required to submit their mark sheets, provisional certificates, etc. of the qualifying examination and other documents at the time of counseling for admission. The management can cancel the admission of any student who fails to submit the prescribed documents or to meet other stipulated requirement. The management may also cancel the admission at any stage during the course, if it is found that the student had supplied some false information or suppressed relevant information while seeking admission. 

CHANGE OF BRANCH

The students shall normally pursue the respective B.E. programs allocated to them at the time of admission. However, the management may permit a limited number of academically meritorious students, as assessed by their performance in the Institute at the end of first year, to change their branch as per approved guidelines.

ACADEMIC SESSION

The academic session normally begins in the fourth week of July-August every year as decided by RGPV.

The exact dates of all the important events, such as registration, late registration, commencement of classes, examinations, vacation etc., are specified in the Academic Calendar of the Institute approved by the management.
